Your cheeks, chin and neck each have their own hair density and skin sensitivity. And the longer it's been since your last shave, the longer that hair has grown. SETPOINT lets you set the blade gap for the part of your face you're shaving and for how long it's been.

HOW ADJUSTABLE RAZORS WORK
Why blade gap matters?
The space between the blade and the safety bar. Hair has to fit in that space before the blade can cut it.
Short hair can enter a smaller cutting chamber perfectly and gets a nice, clean cut. A small blade gap is ideal for shorter hair or areas where the hair is sparse.
The safety bar presses longer hair down, but the small opening leaves less room for hair to rise into the cutting chamber. This leads to the blade cutting the hair unevenly, requiring additional passes.
A larger opening gives longer hair more room to enter the cutting chamber and meet the blade. This helps the razor cut the hair more efficiently on the first pass.
If the blade gap is too big and the hair is short or sparse, there's more chance of the blade making contact with your skin, which causes skin irritation.
A fixed-gap razor gives you one blade gap for every hair length, shaving area and level of sensitivity. To get a different gap, you have to buy a new razor.

Rockwell offers two blade-gap adjustment technologies: a twisting dial and flippable base plates. Both let you customize your blade gap instead of being limited to one fixed setting.
SETPOINT and T2 feature a twisting dial that changes the blade gap with a simple turn. Adjust up or down to suit the area you’re shaving, with on-the-go control—even mid-shave.
The 6S and 6C use three reversible base plates to give you six settings. Choose the plate and side for the blade gap you want, then assemble your razor and shave.
Turn the T2’s opening knob to open the butterfly doors, place your blade inside, then close the doors securely. The head stays attached to the handle. Use the separate adjustment dial to set your blade gap.
With SETPOINT, unscrew and lift off the top cap, place your blade, then refit and tighten the cap. The 6S and 6C also use a removable top cap, with a separate reversible base plate. Choose your base plate setting as you assemble the razor.
From the flippable base plates of the 6S and 6C to the twisting dials of T2 and SETPOINT, every razor shown lets you change your blade gap. Choose your razor, then choose the setting that suits your shave.
